Outside grassy area had a lot of cigarette butts which was unpleasant. Also outside seating on grass a few more options would be good. Most of the seats were really low.

โOur room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing weโve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. โProperty is in a great position and is great value for money. Room 12 was spacious and comfy.
Eclectic furnishings add a quirky feel to the place.

โReally good hotel. 24hr reception and check in helped us as we didn't arrive until 9:30pm and the welcome was excellent. Family room was clean and fantastic. Will definitely use again.โ
โA bit late here for a review, but stayed in late June. Friendly and accommodating to us who failed to read the hotel rules and had a couple of awkward moments with late arrivals and service needs! Really appreciated the homey, peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful authentic antique structure with just the right modern conveniences and Great access to our choice garden visits in the area. we would definitely stay again

โWe only stayed the one night, and would definitely book here again. The staff were extemely helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean and tidy. Our room could probably do with an update, but it was clean, spacious, and had a great view. Breakfast was very nice with a great choice of hot drinks and huices as well as both a cold selection buffet, and a cooked breakfast option, all included in our booking. Overall we were vey happy with our stay.โ
โI only needed it for one night business. The host was friendly and the price was very reasonable considering it had its own ensuite. It's a little out if the centre but only 15mins walk from St Leonard train station. โ
โAccomodation was comfortable in a traditional old pub building with narrow steep stairs. Room had a good bed and both bedroom and bathroom were modern and clean.
Breakfast was excellent.
Pub meals in the evening , again, were excellent with large portions, a wide menu variety and were very nice.โ
