"Great staff! They helped to facilitate a lost item at our precious hotel and they arranged for it to be delivered. The staff were always friendly and had answers to our questions. The hotel is situated one stop away from the Kyoto station. Very convenient. The rooms were large, beds and pillows comfortable. Best of all for me, was that they had comforters as I like to sleep with something weighted on me. Across the street there is a very good and small ramen place, highly recommended. We did have breakfast at this hotel and it was OK since it was more Japanese than western. Am used to a traditional western breakfast but other might enjoy a more Japanese one. "
"This is my favorite hotel in the world! It's such a beautiful, peaceful oasis in the middle of Kyoto, and an easy walk to Kyoto Station and Nishiki Market. It's right down the block from a subway station as well. The rooms are like little Japanese apartments and have such beautiful decorative touches. The spa is great, as is the high end teppanyaki restaurant."
"Breakfast buffet was excellent, especially if you enjoy savory Japanese food in the morning. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. Enjoyed the onsen, it was a fully private experience for me at non-peak hours. "
"I had a wonderful stay here. The room was chic, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with that unmistakable Japanese sense of calm and detail. The bathroom was a highlight—modern, beautifully done, and the shower had excellent water pressure (a small thing that makes a big difference!). Overall, a stylish and very Japanese-feeling space that made my trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended."
