โHad a wonderful stay here. Accommodations were great and location perfect. We left a few things behind and they contacted us right away so we were able to retrieve them before we left the island. Food was great as well. Would recommend if you plan to visit the Isle of Mull which is stunning.โ
โWe stayed 2 days and it was excellent. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The large drawing room that overlooks Loch Melfort was also available for us to use which we enjoyed. We enjoyed a delicious 4 course dinner on the evening of our arrival prepared and served by our host Mathew. This was our first visit to Melfort House and hopefully we will be back again soon.โ
โThe dinners were fabulous โฆ Found the location a bit out of the way for exploring .
Especially with an 11 year old ..
Had to drive to every place โฆ โ
โThe place was excellent in terms of its cleanliness, considering of users , well maintained and super friendliness of the staff. Highly recommended ๐๐๐๐๐โ
โI am rooting for these guys! Itโs a beautiful place and we loved staying in Oban away from the tacky ocean front area spots. We loved the views and the grounds and the library with the assortment of whiskeys. Here is a photo of some highlights! The library and the peacock and the views. Looks like a castle. โ
โThe individual cabin was lovely with beautiful views and everything we needed for a cozy get away. Cabin was equipped with everything you could think of.
Thoughtfully put together property off the beaten path .โ
โIn a great location in the centre of Oban, with most of the places you would want to visit within walking distance. There is a convenient car park across the street if you need it.
The building is old and full of character, which inevitably impacts on the accommodation - with some ingenious planning of the en-suite bathrooms, but this is more than made up for by the Scottish welcome from the knowledgeable staff.
Breakfasts are not included, but there is the offer a of a goodie-bag with...
โthe view was astonishing. worth a one night stay. but the manager wasn't very friendly. didn't even inform when is the breakfast time or check out time etc when check-in. we asked for blanket and sheet for the sofa bed, but he unnecessarily said since we are two people staying, they didn't make the sofa bed. and reluctantly said they would send the blanket implying only blanket can be provided. but sheet and the blanket came, but i don't understand why they were reluctant to supply these cause...
"the view was astonishing. worth a one night stay. but the manager wasn't very friendly. didn't even inform when is the breakfast time or check out time etc when check-in. we asked for blanket and sheet for the sofa bed, but he unnecessarily said since we are two people staying, they didn't make the sofa bed. and reluctantly said they would send the blanket implying only blanket can be provided. but sheet and the blanket came, but i don't understand why they were reluctant to supply these cause even if we are two people, we are also free to use different bed. and the coffee pot isn't detachable and hard to plug it from where it is placed, so you have to move the whole to different place to use it. sofa bed indeed wasn't so comfortable so make sure you can handle the back sore after the night. this hotel you can say you are going for the view from your room's window.
