“Great location on the James River, my room was in a building within walking distance of the marina-great views and food from the Grille, and the pool/fitness center. There was also a nearby breakfast cafe. The fitness center and pool were clean and had some added features that made it more of a spa. Also, great hot tub. I will add that the people I met were all so friendly, felt like I lived there and not like a guest. Will go back!”

“I prepaid for my stay through Hotels.com, but the hotel charged me again for the room upon check-in. As a result, I have effectively paid for the room twice. I was also charged a deposit and a resort fee, which have still not been refunded. When I contacted the staff, they repeatedly told me that the charges would be refunded, but I have not received my money back. This situation has been very frustrating. Guests should not have to spend time chasing refunds for charges that should never have...

“My room was large and clean. There was turn service at bed time with chocolate and nightly drink. Super friendly staff, bellman Andre was super nice. Ate breakfast there and it was great. Really convenient to colonial Williamsburg everything in walking distance.”

“Good location but the property looked and smelled run down. Expected a bit better for the price.”

“The online photo is completely misleading. It’s all gravel. We were on the first floor and could hear everything above us. Our room had water stains on ceiling. Vents were painted white but the green walls were never repainted where white got on it. Furniture was very old and marked up. The bathroom was a joke. Two narrow mirrors hung in a corner over a tiny corner sink. Shower was slippery. Bed comfortable but every move springs screeched. Property is a beautiful winery and lovely restaurant.”

“Room didn’t feel clean especially the floor. Shampoo and soap were tiny. Toilet clogged up so I felt plumbing or water pressure needs work. Breakfast wasn’t good. Chairs and tables were also filthy. Not sure if I’ll stay here again.”
