APA Hotel & Resort Osaka Namba Ekimae Tower

8/10 Good

"Rooms are quite cramped, but meticulously maintained. Staff is wonderful. Expect to pay for add-ons such as using the pool or gym. Very quiet and comfortable. Location is great. As we were in Osaka to use as a “spoke and hub” location to see Nara and Kyoto and other towns, we were only really in the hotel to sleep and shower. It was all we needed. Close to subway and railway stations. I’d totally recommend APA Namba."

"The hotel itself was ok, you are basically paying for the location, which is superb. Right next to Universal Studios Japan and Universal City. The ability to walk to USJ was amazing. The breakfast buffet is huge with a variety of foods to choose from, but very different for Americans. My food connoisseur son was eating white rice, seaweed and salmon for breakfast, while my other son stuck to mini corn dogs and french fries...for Breakfast! Will we stay there again, probably not as there are other hotels nearby that seemed nicer. Overall it was ok, the location being the best part"

10/10 Excellent

"Arriving from Osaka airport, the limousine bus stops right in front of this hotel, huge bonus points for a family traveling with young kids and 6 luggages. There is a 24 hour family mart (think 7/11) at the street level of the hotel, 2nd floor connects you to the train station, 8th floor is the “restaurant row” where there is a variety of local options for dining, and there is an adjoining mall that connects to the 8th floor. The mall has some 5/6 floors and provides endless shopping from toys to clothes to home goods, etc. Cannot express enough how convenient this whole hotel complex building is. Rooms are not big but sufficient with bathtub and standing shower room (standard for Japan). Would definitely stay again."
