"Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"二度と利用しない！台風が来てるのに、何故か部屋の窓はちょっとだけ空いてて、布団が湿っぽくなってたし、そのせいか蚊が何匹も部屋に入ってて、夜中息子も刺されたし、ホント眠れなかった。しかも上の階の宿泊客の足音や、何をやってたのか、物音が深夜まで続いていて、二重に眠れなかった。オーナーは中国人夫婦で、建物の一階に家族で住んでシェアホテルをやってるみたいだけど、その子供らの声も遅い時間まで聞こえていて、ちょっとゆっくり休めなかった。"

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. I closed the door to go to the bathroom downstairs and luckily I had my phone on me with my code, but if I had locked my phone in my room without my code I would've been in a really bad spot since there is no receptionist or on-site staff. "My mother and I traveled from the U.S. and had a wonderful stay here. The Mt. Fuji view right in front of the hotel was breathtaking. The food was excellent, the room was very clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We also loved relaxing in the onsen. A beautiful and memorable stay with my mother. I would definitely come back!"

"A most excellent property and staff! Highly recommend - 5 ***** star rating. View of Fuji-San is amazing. Gardens and Koi pond are well maintained. Spacious room with plenty of storage for luggage, large closet, sofa and chair. Onsen and breakfast buffet are fantastic! Staff is very helpful and kind. Hourly Shuttle service to/from Kawaguchiko Station was very useful, 10 min away. Nabeya Japanese restaurant was delicious and only 3 min walk away."

"My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Wakakusa no Yado Maruei. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. My wife is pregnant, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her dietary needs. They were incredibly understanding and helped us with food substitutions and adjustments so that she could comfortably enjoy our traditional Japanese meals. Their kindness and attention to detail meant so much to us and made the experience even more special. Everything about our stay was amazing, from the beautiful room and relaxing bath to the delicious food and exceptional hospitality. We felt truly cared for throughout our visit. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan, and we will remember it for years to come. Thank you to everyone at Maruei for making our stay so special. We would absolutely love to return someday!"
