"Newly refurbished rooms were really nice, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is also a bar/pub/restaurant. We ate at the restaurant and the food was decent. There was entertainment in the evening which was loud and we were concerned that it might disturb our sleep, but once back in the room, we couldn’t hear it. There is unrestricted public parking opposite the hotel."

The condition of the room was not great, as we soon discovered the lightning did not work properly and the kettle in the room was dysfunctional (reported) The bathroom was clearly in need of renovation as the flooring which was used to cover the sides of the bathtub was peeling away. "Lanelay Hall is a beautiful hotel. The decor, the ambience and the attention to detail is exceptional. The staff in all areas are warm and welcoming. The restaurant was a fabulous experience with very impressive food. We also had some of the best cocktails we have ever had with the mixologist taking time to explain the ones on offer. It is nestled amongst an estate of new houses but once inside you feel like you are miles from anywhere and the spa adds even more relaxation options. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return."
