“Lovely serene location near the canal and river (might get busy when the weather is good)..Lovely traditional spacious and comfortable rooms, in good clean condition. Communication before arrival excellent. We weren't able to use the spa bath as the plumbing currently needs re-doing to prevent leaks and there is no shelf to put the toiletries in the bathroom. “My room was super clean and tidy with everything you may need. All the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Private parking just outside my room. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. I ate dinner here which was simply supeb”

“Overall the stay at The new In was satisfactory. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor of our room was a little tired and dated, but overall comfortable. The advertisement stated there is a real ale bar but NO real ale is sold ”

The hotel is spectacularly located high up above the Wye Valley with a wide panorama. Many of the bedrooms benefit from these wonderful views. “This is a fabulous base for exploring the Cotswolds. The staff is very helpful, and the restaurant is very good. There is also a shopping area close by (King’s Walk). The hotel car park is difficult to access. There is construction that prevents Google Maps from providing accurate directions. The front desk staff tries to give directions, but it was hard to digest. Overall the hotel room and amenities and breakfast were quite good.”

“I think this was the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a lot world wide . Great welcome, room spacious and clean. A nice area to sit in in the evening, food was available and lots of people were eating, we just had a glass of wine . Breakfast was really good, great selection, fresh and good variety . Friendly helpful staff, great location, quiet, good value for money, what more can you ask for ? Thank you x”

“The staff were extremely helpful when we suffered a bad experience with our food on our first night's stay. Stick to the basic meals on the menu, like the burgers and fish and chips! We booked a bed, breakfast and evening meal deal for 2 nights, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but, on reflection, should have booked everything separately, because we would be over £100 better off!! Apart from being placed at the worst, and least private, table in the restaurant, we only had a limited menu...

“Really nice b&b in an historic and interesting house. Host was really friendly and breakfasts were really good. Large bedroom, plenty of space for clothes. Right opposite the Abbey and near local amenities. Would certainly return.”
