"I booked this “resort” for the sheer amount of 5 star reviews it had and when I got there, I was severely disappointed by what I saw and received. The reviews mention that the staff is a 5/5 but when I first arrived they had guys standing around laughing and making slick comments about my transaction. I was not prepared for the “surprise $200 deposit” that was not mentioned beforehand. The following night I watched another gentlemen go through the “surprise fees” when he checked in and he said “well, that’s how they get you huh.” Anyways, during my 3 night stay, I requested towels twice and no one ever showed. The only staff that are good are the beach furniture staff. None of the staff anticipate needs or go above and beyond or even do the bare minimum. I barely saw anyone.
Reviews also said the hotel was clean but once you go into the hallways, they have disgusting stained old carpet and hot hallways that stink. The smell is similar to someone’s smelly armpit. My first room had stains on the furniture and a funny smell. They eventually checked on me and switched my room. I won’t have enough characters to talk about all the bad stuff but the good thing is the convenient location of the “resort” and the breakfast staff! Special shoutout to Cynthia. She is doing a great job.
Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK HERE. After 407 for the room, 140 in “resort fees”, 75 dollars in parking in their own lot, and $200 deposit, I can’t say I got any value from this place."
