North Shore, Montreal hotel rooms at the Fairmont

"I've been to many BW hotels. We chose this one due to proximity to the Bell Centre where we were attending an event. We stayed 1 night. The fire alarm went off three separate times, once before 7pm, once after midnight, and once around 6am. Only one (out of two) elevators was functioning (and it could only fit 4-5 adults at a time), and since there was an event, there were line ups every single time you wanted to go up to your room. The room had the two queen beds we expected, but didn't even have a chair other than a rolling computer chair at the desk. Our bathroom didn't have soap or shampoo, only conditioner and hand soap. The welcome message on the TV had someone else's name on it. Half our floor was in construction (no warning when I booked), and we smelled cigarette smoke coming from the hallway. The only window we had faced a brick wall. Everything in the room was excessively noisy (pipes/plumbing, A/C, refrigerator). Slept about 2 hours, maybe. Will not be going back."

"This is an ideally located hotel in the center of Montreal. I went the public transportation route for my trip and the 747 bus from airport dropped me off on corner of hotel. All the other venues that I attended also had bus lines nearby. The room was clean and well kept. Check in and check out was quick and easy. It was a wonderful stay and the price was right."

"Room 102 was right next to the highway and the traffic noise was very loud. I changed room after 1 night and the next room was fine. Parking was ok, but the hotel gave me a wheel lock for my car so it wouldn’t be stolen…"

"Overall I didn’t mind staying at this hotel, the two main things I was dissatisfied with are firstly, the ac in the room did not work, luckily it wasn’t too hot or cold for the duration of my stay, secondly the room I was in had transparent blinds that let a lot of light through from the parking lot, other than that the hotel met my needs and surely I just got one of the lesser rooms of all they have to offer. For the affordable price and location it was good enough"
