โOur first impression with the staff was unexpected! Weโd just arrived to drop off our luggage and the gentleman at the front desk offered to take our luggage to the room as we were crunched for time. A cab was waiting to take us to Highclere. โStayed at the location for a trip to Newbury Races (Cost approx ยฃ10 in a taxi). Very good location with bonus of on site parking. Excellent bar and food choices. Easy walking distance to local pubs and restaurants. Would thoroughly recommend. โ
โReally nice, spacious rooms. We stayed with our 2 small children and there was enough room for all of us.
The location is perfect - very central but on a quiet street. The best feature of the hotel is the garden seating. Eating outside there is very special indeed.
My only complaint is the charge of 15 pound for parking! I've never stayed at a hotel before and been charged for parking. And when I was shocked at the cost the receptionist rolled her eyes at me, as though I was the one being...

โStaff were happy to deal with a couple of requests re changing the duvet and pillows to non feather/down filling and they had pre-installed a dog bed and bowl, which saved me another trip to the car thankfully.
