"We went there for my birthday , drove 3 hours away to be disappointed only to check into an unclean room . Upon checking in, the room was not properly cleaned and had a strong odor of pets. I immediately notified the front desk, and staff informed me house keeping will clean the room for us but instead we get a knock at the door with housekeeping handing us a a bottle of odor remover to spray myself. It was inadequate. However I chose to overlook this at the time to avoid ruining my birthday plans.
However, upon returning that evening after celebrating , we were preparing for bed I pulled back the comforter and discovered stains on the sheets on the left side and on pillows that were overturned. Resembling possibly makeup. Because it was too late to address it, front desk was closed. We had to sleep on one side of the bed.
I showed photos of these conditions to the front desk staff during checkout the next morning. While she apologized and credited the parking fee, given that the room was not properly prepared. I receive the email address to Jessica the inn manager and explained to her with pictures regarding our stay she apologized and said she would give me a call . I never received a call I followed up 3 times with email yet no reply .
We used to love Casablanca , I spent my birthday there last year as well and we have always had a pleasant experience , but this experience fell far below the standards I expect from the inn. We will not be returning"
