โWe had never been to that part of the lakes before so we weren't sure want to expect, the village itself it pretty and clean but definitely lacked amenities.
Dalegarth B&B had the important things that we look for, Top of the list, cleanliness, and i think they do the best breakfast we've ever had. Lot's of choice, cereals, fresh fruits, yogurts, and a massive list of cooked items. No limits on food either. Very generous.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was decorated to a high standard. I appreciated the fridge with cold bottles of water and fresh milk. Penrith is a beautiful picture postcard town and very handy base for traveling to the Lake District

โThe house is in a beautiful location and we were greeted by Alfie. We were made welcome from the very beginning and looked after well. Our twin room was perfect with amazing views. We were recommended a walk to the lake and took a picnic, beautiful scenery and incredibly relaxing. A must do! We were provided with a delicious cooked breakfast and fresh bread. We will absolutely be visiting again and we wished weโd stayed longer than 1 night. โ

Breakfast was excellent, and if you are heading out for walks, they can provide a packed lunch if you order the day before.
There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed.โ
