“Lovely clean room, comfy bed, tasty breakfast and warm and welcoming hosts. What more could you want? ”

“Lovely big, clean room with a sofa, table, chairs, huge bed and a gorgeous view. Loads of parking and a nice garden to enjoy. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and very helpful. The evening meal, Chicken Supreme, was fantastic and so was the breakfast (porridge with blueberry compote). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and can't wait to stay again.”

The walls had splatter & marks where something had run down them & the bathroom was dirty in the corner. We couldn't get any hot water from the taps so used the kettle which didn't turn itself off. “Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.”

There is a nice restaurant attached to the Hotel drinks are expensive but the food is reasonable, not the quickest service but if you are not in a rush it's fine. The bath could do with updating and a plug in the sink didn't fit well (put a flannel round plug fitted ok) Having a lot of work done to the front which will be nice when finished.”
