“Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. “Check in was straightforward, I arrived earlier than check in but was able to access my room. Room was clean & bright & roomy. Large comfy bed & all facilities. Well positioned for visiting Bury St Edmunds & surrounding area. Lovely village pub which was popular with locals. Staff friendly & food good.”

“Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. ”

“No food Monday or Tuesday, the only food available is a Chinese in the village that doesn't take card (cash only). Not sure about other rooms but room 4 the Internet is terrible on all the networks and no phone signal either. Room is not made up or restocked during the day. The pub car park is small and the patrons seem to abaddon their vehicles all over the place which mean you can't get parked. There is a fridge in your room🌟 Would I stay again 🤔 doubt that very much. I wish the owners...

“The staff were helpful.The room was large.Breakfast was good & was the sunday roast.Parking was ok,but when busy not available.Had to park in sainsbury's on the saturday night until a spot was free.Luckily sainsbury car park is free from 1800-0700.Have to register car to get free parking.”
