South San Diego, California hotel rooms at the Ayres Collection

"Parking was very tight. Hard to maneuver. Bathroom barn door did not provide privacy. Clear shower door prevented 2 people in bathroom. Room was clean. Staff was great."

"We tried out three rooms: 220/222 and 307. All faced the court yard and bay and so the views were nice. The 200 series rooms had a musty odor that did not go away. They were a little dated and one of the beds had an old frame that squeaked. The 307 room was on second floor and was very nice. Updated and nice carpet and white, wood trim. All rooms were quiet. Did not hear much from the neighbors. The staff is amazing. Very kind, helpful and eager to please. The two on site restaurants are very good. And the prices, to me, seemed very reasonable. We loved the pool area. Plenty of seating and one can order food and beverages and they are brought to you. You can also rent a Cabana, which is nice. Overall, we really enjoyed this resort and would definitely recommend it. They just need to upgrade some of the older rooms and slap some paint on the exterior and it would be top notch! "
