You can browse the exhibits at Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, a museum with a story of its own, during your trip to Durango. Stroll along the riverfront or seek out the hiking trails.
Home to national parks, dramatic wilderness, ancient Indian cliff dwellings and abandoned mining towns, this corner of Colorado has seemingly endless sights to see.
"I liked that the inn had an outdoor sitting area with a fire pit. Unfortunately, the area was in a fire restriction, so we couldn't actually light a fire in the pit, but it was a comfortable place to sit and meet other guests. There was also a grill available for use and there were a number of picnic tables and other seating options.
The rooms were clean with sufficient amenities. There was a fridge and coffee maker in the room. Housekeeping was per request if staying multiple days, which I prefer to having them come in every day. Continental breakfast was included with hot and cold options. Coffee and tea was available in the lobby all day.
The fitness room was closed for repair which was the reason I gave 4 stars for facility. The pool and hot tub were open and available.
Overall a very good place to stay!"
"This is a very nice hotel for many reasons. First is ideally located right next to the gondola in town. Second, it is reasonably priced including the underground parking at $20 per day. Third, It has spacious rooms with lots of nice windows, overlooking Telluride and/or the mountains. It is a very nice feature that you can open them at night and get in the mountain air, which is important. The hotel also has an outdoor Jacuzzi that's very nice for looking at the mountains. The staff are all very polite and well trained. We will definitely be back!"
"The staff were absolutely amazing and made our experience the best it could have been.
The hotel is very nice. We found a few dust bunnies in our room so I would have liked to see that be better. Also, we would love to have more options of food in the restaurant. I understand the hotel is going through some renovations soon so that may clear up some of these little issues."
