I’m very disappointed that my room was no view and very close to next building.

The room was comfortable, well-appointed, and surprisingly spacious for Namba. The air conditioning and television were also very easy to use, which is a welcome touch for non-Japanese-speaking travellers, as hotel room controls in Japan can sometimes be difficult to navigate, even with AI translation tools. What let the hotel down, however, was the breakfast experience. There were lengthy queues each morning simply to be seated, as only one hostess was managing the process. Most guests do not want to begin their day by waiting in line for up to 15 minutes, particularly when there are plenty of vacant tables available in a large dining area. It seemed unnecessary for guests to have to wait to be formally seated. Once inside, there was further congestion due to there being only one coffee machine and one toaster, resulting in even more queuing in what is clearly a very busy hotel. Overall, the room itself was excellent, but the breakfast operation would benefit from some improvements to better accommodate the number of guests.

The room was spacious, had great amenities and it was an overall great experience! I would 100% stay there again. The room was overall very clean, though the floor could have been mopped a bit better, especially in the toilet room, I used some bleach wipes I had to spot clean so I didn’t call down to have them come address the issue. If you are traveling with family, especially kids, this is a great place to stay!

The staff was really nice, they were able to check us in a little early which really helped us out coming from Kyoto so we didn’t have to store our luggage. The location is top notch with so many choices to eat and shop literally feet away from the hotel. We stayed in the penthouse room with a deck all to ourselves with an amazing view of Dotonbori skyline. However there were some things that could use improvement. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable, our bidet did not work for the first two days of our stay, they did offer to change rooms but we declined since we were already fully unpacked. The kitchen did not have any utensils or plates or cooking equipment which didn’t bother us but just be aware if you are wanting to use the kitchen. Our bathroom sink faucet needed to be fixed as it was wobbly when used, and if you stay in the 13th floor you have to walk up three short flights of stairs to get to your room, carrying your luggage in tow. The property is showing its age some as well… and regretfully we also saw a cockroach in the stairwell coming down from our roo, which we didn’t let the staff know about as it’s just something a lot of older buildings deal with in large cities. The breakfast offered was decent but nothing stood out, it was nice and convenient. Overall it’s a good place to stay right in the middle of all Dotonbori has to offer.

A very good hotel with lots of amenities! Free breakfast, drinks, (including alcohol), and spacious rooms. Very well located right on Dotonbori street near all the action. Comfortable beds and a massage chair in the room, it's hard to beat. Staff are helpful and know enough English to converse. Lots of stuff to do in the hotel alone, though of course the neighborhood is very exciting too.
