“Running Horse is very quaint and cozy. The dini g options are very nice and the service natural and friendly. My husband and my inlaws stayed for only one night and were very happy with the accommodations. The countryside is beautiful.”

“Stairs to the rooms were quite steep but the room was great. Comfortable bed and lovely to have fresh milk and homemade cookies. Unfortunately the shower could do with some attention as water was really slow to run away.Good selection at breakfast, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Could do with either cleaning or replacing the carpet on stairs and landing as it’s very stained and does them no favours in terms of appearance. Overall great stay and would recommend.”

“Hotel is in an amazing location. It had a lovely set up with attractive looking bar & lounge area. Breakfast was just right with good hot & cold choices. Room was lovely & comfortable with good views of the cathedral, only slight criticism was the bathroom was a bit tired, there’s lots of marks on the floor & the bath seemed heavily stained but it did still seem clean. All the staff we encountered were all friendly, approachable & professional. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Only stayed one night, and they accommodated a very late check-in of 2:30am due to a delayed flight. When we woke up we were able to appreciate the gorgeous scenery. Rooms were clean and they provide coffee, tea and creamer in the room. ”

The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The location is great for exploring the area to the west of London, including Salisbury, Bath and Bristol in a car. ”
