We had incredible consideration given to us by providing us with blankets for our trip to see outdoor evening performance of Kynren. Breakfast was a gorgeous plentiful full English. “Right from the friendly welcome by Tom, my stay was fantastic. I was travelling myself with 2 young children for a family funeral in the area. All the staff were friendly and very good with the children. They were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. We enjoyed a meal in the evening. Good choice for adults and children. We also all enjoyed the buffet breakfast too. ”
“A last-minute decision for us to stay having booked to eat in the restaurant and we weren't disappointed. Our room was spotlessly clean and more spacious than expected. We needed to look for someone in order to check in but in all other respects the staff were very welcoming and attentive.”
“Medi, the chef, and his wife, Daniella, run the Inn and gave us both a warm, friendly welcome. The room was tidy and clean and we both had good night's sleeps even though the room was above the pub..I recommend Medi's Eggs Benedict which was fantastic and he also catered in the evening with great home made food - I had the best fish and chips I've had for many a year..I'd recommend the Sunday roast too which was awesome and over generous...and reasonably priced...

“Great 3 night stay at the Keelman. Check in nice and easy, staff friendly and very helpful. Room was good, big enough for us, and had all we needed, bed comfortable, shower really good, clean and tidy. (Maybe could do with a fridge) the surroundings were very nice, a short walk to the Riverside park. Bar and restaurant were lovely, and nice outside sitting area. Food and beers excellent, especially the Prince Bishop, would definitely stay here again”

We also did the free history tour of the castle. Do not miss this as it includes a visit to the roof to take in the views.”

Host was very friendly and informative, helped with all my airport access questions. Excellent value for money, and only an 8 minute flat walk away from the airport. Yes some bits are a bit tired, but for the price paid excellent value for money. Would definitely stay there again when flying from Newcastle Airport. ”
