"Fantastic breakfast. Family room was spacious and newly redecorated. Unfortunately we didn’t get our room cleaned as the house keeping staff thought we had checked out. Toilet was dodgy. But the fantastic facilities and food definitely outweighed the toilet and housekeeping. Definitely will be back with the family. Thanks for another fab stay. "
"Fabulous, beautifully decorated bedroom with nice toiletries and refreshments tray. Breakfast was amazing, local ingredients (quality), tasty fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice and a surprise Easter egg on Easter Sunday. They think of lovely touches like complimentary cake in the afternoon. Have stayed in lots of places in Keswick but this place is the best. Definitely returning next year. Also staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel special "
"The Bridge Inn at Holmrook. Our room was really comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The whole of the Bridge Inn is dog friendly and welcoming to our pair of 4paws. The breakfast was brilliant. There's a really good selection to choose from and everything was cooked to perfection.
We ate at the Bridge Inn every night because the food was excellent. The last time we ate food that good was when we ate at James Martin's restaurant. The menu had just the right amount of dishes to choose from and the helpings were spot on. We never met the chef but s/he gets 10/10. Last, but certainly not least the staff, everyone was welcoming and friendly. There is however one member of staff we would like to mention in particular. Unfortunately we didn't catch her name but she was wonderful. She was there first thing in the morning and last thing at night and always had a wonderful smile on her face and an eagerness to help wether on reception, behind the bar or serving meals. We would recommend a stay at the Bridge Inn to everyone. Well done to every member of staff there and thank you for making our stay so memorable. Thank you all."
"Nice room at the top of the property, family run business with Mum, Dad, son and daughter all working in the establishment.. the son and daughter are a credit to their parents, so friendly and chatty. Breakfast was great and lots of choice, we were very full after it.
Great location next to Derwent water and within walking distance of the town centre. Will definitely be booking to stay there again sometime."
"We stayed at Armathwaite Hall for one night and it was superb. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and little touches made our stay very memorable such as a glass of prosecco on arrival and a card and some chocolates in my room for my birthday. We stayed in a Club room which was very spacious. We ate in the dining room which was pricey but the food was exquisite so worth the money. We also made full use of the spa facilities which are just heavenly and very relaxing. I would thoroughly recommend Armathwaite Hall to anyone even if only for a one night birthday treat. Superb! "
