"On a recent trip to Austin, was not sure of the best location to stay. It appeared to be within walking distance of some local areas of interest. The hotel was on the highway and if you are a light sleeper this is NOT the place for you. Highway noise on one side and bar with bands on the other. There were only a few friendly employees, everyone else seemed pained to talk with you or answer questions. Breakfast was the typical but frequently they'd run out of food before the end of the morning...

"The host people were very nice and the breakfast was good. Hot food... even Texas shaped waffle machine. The beds were comfy but the AC was struggling a bit. Coffee available all the time in lobby. Area around the hotel was a little run down looking, but we felt safe walking around. It was close to where we wanted to be."

"The only reason for 4 stars is there were a few large cockroaches that visited us while we were there. Overall, clean and comfortable. "
