“The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and filling. With tasty bread sausages and bacon. The staff were very helpful. I had to ask for help to switch the shower off as it seemed to get stuck. Unfortunately I was not able to use the pool and sauna as closed for maintenance. That had been what had attracted me to the property in the first place! Great location and easy walk to Gold Hill.”

“So, having explained an irritating medical condition I had and asked if it would be okay to use the charging bay without charging, the front counter assistant said it would be fine. I have now received a fine for £100 for using it. The breakfast was at best okay. but I certainly would not pay for it a 2nd time. It’s centrally based and advertised parking, while also taking away 4 of the parking spaces for charging, which are frequently not in use.”

“I only stayed one night but I was very happy with the hotel.”

“Stayed at one of their beautiful and uniquely design luxury bedroom, absolutely loved it. The bar downstairs is great and very cosy, they aeved great choices for breakfast and the staff were helpful and nice. Would stay again.”

“Characterful thatched inn in countryside location. Comfortable room & good breakfast.”

“Room was dated, but clean, very spacious and quiet. Good breakfast and polite and helpful staff. Very happy with our stay, would recommend”

“Lovely, attentive staff who made me feel welcome. Unfortunately, the shower was positioned under the eaves of the roof, meaning anyone over 5ft 5in had to bend down to use it. There was also a power cut from 7am until 8:50am, and I was disappointed that no apology or acknowledgement was offered the following morning. A simple apology would have been a nice gesture.”

“We were only given 1 teabag for our stay. No hot water in the hand basin for shaving.”

“I wanted to know if they could give me a room with a shower tray. No reply. I needed to cancel due to illness and then neither I could get hold of them. As a result I had to pay for a hotel I could not use. Expedia were unable to sort out this issue. Such poor communication means I will not use this hotel ever. I also am disappointed Expedia could not get the hotel to agree to basic customer service like being responsive to customer enquiries”

“Unique room in a converted 1885 wagon was fun! But pretty rustic, don't expect big luxury. No toiletries (soap) were provided, but there were towels. The pub has good pizza!”

“We booked to stay at this hotel for 2 nights, we arrived on Friday afternoon and were shown ir room. I had booked a garden room (rooms away from the main building) which I soon realised had been very strategically photographed. The room was big but very dated but we didn’t mind as we would be at a wedding rehearsal that evening and the wedding the next day so little time spent in the room. On initial view I noticed the carpet was really dirty and there was no toilet roll, the member of staff at...

“Room was quite small, but adequate. Bed was clean and comfortable .Shower and bathroom were very good. We would have liked to have a small fridge in the room.”

“Comfortable room in a lovely pub. Helpful, friendly staff. Great atmosphere in the pub and delicious food.”
