“What a warm and welcoming place to stay. Beds and pillows were super comfortable, very clean room. Common areas were cozy and clean. You will never find a better breakfast than the 3 course meal we had. Local yogurt, homemade lemon curd, with homemade granola and berries. Then wonderfully cooked frittata with Crème fraîche, local sourdough toast, and a bed of nice greens and radishes. Then the most amazing citrus olive oil cake. There is coffee, tea and homemade cookies always available....

“Very disappointing. This hotel was rated very good an 8.4 but it was far from it. It is very dated and it was dirty and smelled musty. The lamp shades were stained and the lamps were rusty and old. There was mould and dirt all around the window and baseboards. I do NOT recommend this hotel.”

“The room was very nice and quaint. We loved the location. It was so quick and easy to walk to downtown Keene. We had to rent a cot to make it accommodate 3 people. I guess we had missed the fine print in the Expedia listing that said it would work for 3 if a cot was added. The building felt secure and was well taken care of. We’d consider staying here again if we return to the area. ”

“I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+.”

“The rrooms were clean, shower was great. Hallways dark, parking lot not to much lighting. There is no breakfast just coffee.”

“The continental breakfast was good - a variety of fresh baked goods, yogurts, fresh fruits, granola, teas, and the coffee was excellent! It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. Parking was no problem - plenty of space, well-lit, felt absloutely...

“The staff were so friendly and helpful...made us feel very welcome. There was no television in our room, which was no problem...just wish we had known in advance. Then we could have brought a good book or crossword puzzle!”

“Hotel house keeping did not clean our room. When we told other workers that the house keeping did not clean our room,they said it they don't know and didn't clean our room. Also the room next to ours was so loud singing, talking loudly all night and the room service could not do things to stop their noise. Finally, when we are cheking out they charged more money then it was supposed to.”
