โGot wot you paid for allstaff were brill apart from 1 miserable not the word not 1 bit of customer skill what so ever sat or sunday nite shift need to be gone โ
โSet in the grounds of a golf course, the room, part of the Courtyard area, was exceptional. Set on 3 levels, the bedroom was on the top level with wall mounted TV, then a seating area below that and a second TV, and the bathroom below that.
The only negative for us was the heavy quilt, which was too hot, and the soft pillows, offering little support.
Breakfast was excellent. It was ordered from the menu. However, a buffet offering fresh fruit, pastries and cereal would be a useful addition....
โI needed a one night stay before my flight. Although not an ensuite i had a bathroom along the corridor to myself.
Host was very friendly and informative, helped with all my airport access questions. Excellent value for money, and only an 8 minute flat walk away from the airport. Yes some bits are a bit tired, but for the price paid excellent value for money. Would definitely stay there again when flying from Newcastle Airport. โ
โMatfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless.
All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall.
Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated. It was a generous size bedroom and dressing area with a huge bathroom, stunning views and light and airy in the daytime but warm...
