"This was our second trip to the lion at Belpur, and though we couldn’t have the bigger room this time, the room we had was still adequate for what we wanted. Always good friendly staff, who are more than willing to help. The pub is located in a good area, close to shops and high street, and the mills and gardens. Fantastic time which is why we returned. It's not a fancy place, and breakfast options are simple English breakfast fare, but overall this is a gem of a place if you're hiking or exploring Peak District, especially if you need parking. We appreciated the family room option with a bunk bed for the kids and double for the adults. Note, this is not a good option for persons with mobility issues (stairs)."
