“Very helpful and excellent breakfast”

“Room was clean, lift didn’t get swept in the 5 nights I was there and had a lot of dried mud in it. I extended by a couple of nights because my friends were still there and reception man wasn’t very helpful. Had to do it online, even though I would have had an alumni discount if I did it at the desk. The map is entirely unhelpful for the parking if you don’t know your way around campus. They could do with adding more details to it to help people. I bumped into someone lost in the dark in the...

“Lovely rooms, central for trains and city centre, but quiet.”

“We were a little disappointed with our stay and are surprised by the number of positive comments. While our room itself was clean enough, the rest of the property would benefit from a serious deep clean. The carpets on the stairs were heavily ingrained with dirt. We were also surprised to find that the dining area was carpeted, which seems an unusual and impractical choice for a breakfast room. The carpet was very dirty and had a musty smell, and there were crumbs scattered around when we came...

“Great location for the celebration we were attending. Lovely host really friendly. A fab stay”

“Walking the SWCP and this hotel was perfect for my needs. It was clean, friendly staff and the onsite pub/restaurant served good quality food. Highly recommended”

“Unique boutique BnB just wonderful.”

“This is an excellent small boutique B&B. Full of charm and character. Very well maintained and clean. Owners kept themselves to themselves other than the welcome. Lovely breakfast. Very organised. Would definitely stay again so would recommend to others.”

“Such a beautiful, beautiful place in a lovely setting. Such attention to detail, the furnishings, the gardens and sitting areas not to mention the wonderful breakfast that was served. Our host could not have been more helpful or pleasant. We hated that we could only stay one night. Hopefully we can return one day !”

“The hotel was kept beautifully clean and well presented throughout the week I was there. The proprietress was very welcoming on my arrival and helped me with my suitcase, The room was a good size and was well maintained except for a broken drawer in the chest of drawers which I reported as soon as possible. The room was plainly but extremely well maintained and had a very comfortable bed.. A good sized bathroom for what I needed. The breakfast service was very good and the food some of the...

“Very comfortable bed, nice big window, decent sized room with good facilities. The owner was very happy to help with fresh milk delivered and good suggestions for local food places.”

“Very friendly and helpful staff and clean comfortable well equipped single room. Hearty breakfast. Great location just by the promenade. Hope to stay here again when visiting the area again.”

“Alison and Adrian are lovely hosts. The room was everything we needed. Would visit again”

“The main reason for my 2 star rating was the unacceptable noise at night. Sounded like a immersion heater or similar going beserk. It was like trying to sleep next to a jet engine. I was in room 2. I left very early as it was so bad, I just couldn't stand the noise. The hotel wasn't too bad, but ifyou can't sleep what's the point of staying? Not recommended. I'm glad it was only one night.”

“Enjoyable stay at what is perhaps best described as a fantastic restaurant with rooms. The restaurant overlooks the water and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. However our room was landside, with only a view of Irsha Street. Although small, the room and facilities were excellent. Fresh milk in the fridge is always much appreciated by us tea drinkers.”
