"We stayed at the Coldra Court Hotel for the first time on a last-minute whim, booking a standard Queen room the night before our wedding. While the entire experience was wonderful, it was Evan at the front desk who made our stay unforgettable. Evan was genuinely warm and friendly. When he asked how our day was, my husband mentioned we had just got married. Without a second thought, Evan surprised us by upgrading us to a beautiful Deluxe room as a complimentary wedding gift and gave us two vouchers for free drinks! It was the nicest surprise and made our special day feel even more magical. Evan possesses a rare, natural hospitality talent. He didn’t just tick the boxes of a standard check-in; he showed genuine emotional intelligence and took the initiative to turn a standard stay into an extraordinary memory. He represents the high standards of The Celtic Collection flawlessly and is exactly who you want representing a hotel front-of-house. Management should be incredibly proud to have him; he is an absolute asset and deserves the highest recognition. The rest of our stay was perfect. The room was beautiful, the food was stunning, and the staff made us feel so special. Because of Evan’s exceptional service, we are already planning our return. Thank you to the team, and a massive thank you to Evan!"

"We had a great short break at the Queen’s Hotel. Perfectly located, with decent car parking and lovely large rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the free homemade cookies were a nice touch. Overall, a great place to stay for a family getaway."

"The hotel is excellent other than the restaurant. We stay here regularly on the way to Devon. We tried the restaurant on the way and it wasn't good. Tried again on the way back with 10%discount and had to send the meal back. Next time we stay in July we will dine at the premier inn/beafeater 10mins away Otherwise all was good"

"I had a lovely stay, enjoyed the spa and treatment room and the room service was great. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The only let down was the robes in the rooms have security tags on and they had holes in and were very grubby which kind of put a dampener on the 4* experience."

"When I arrived, there was no one at reception and I had to wait quite some time before a staff member returned to check me in. I was also disappointed to find that the health club had already closed upon my arrival at 8:15pm, despite the website stating it closes at 9pm. Later that evening, at around 10:30pm, the same staff member entered my room without knocking while I was in the bathroom. When I asked what they wanted, they asked for my name and then stated that the room was supposed to be empty. I explained that there had clearly been a mistake, as they had personally checked me in earlier. They then left without apologising. I found the situation quite strange and raised it with the staff member on duty the following morning, but they appeared completely uninterested. Room and whole hotel in general is pretty dated and not particularly clean. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it unfortunately!"
