โWe got upgraded to a King room (the Kingsley room). It was spacious and lovely; the bed was comfortable.
Access to Gatwick: straight-line distance to the edge of the airport is less than half a mile (but we didn't notice any airplane noise in the room), and straight-line distance to rental car return is a mile. However, because of the ... interesting... layout of roads around Gatwick, the shortest road route is 3.6 miles(!).

* Shower was a little small and the controls were not...
โNice hotel. Staff very friendly. Room was nice if a little compact. Very clean. We had room 203 which was a dormer room so sloping ceilings. Not so good if your tall, particularly in the shower. Cant speak fo the other rooms though. Plenty of parking when we were there.โ
โIt was a lovely hotel, quite close to the airport, thus why I chose it.
The room was decent and quiet and alll the facilities that I needed for my stay worked well.
The car park was cramped, not much room to park, I had to get out of the car on the passenger side. So that could do with a bit of improvement.
Nonetheless, the price for parking was reasonable compared to other hotels nearby.โ

โThis is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....

โGreat hotel with a great restaurant. We've stayed here a couple of times now. 15 minutes from Gatwick airport it's a fabulous place to stay if you're flying. We will be back I'm sure. โ
