"ALL the employees were friendly and some very helpful, providing excellent services for dining, help with cleaning car (from wind debris), reception staff and at the firs pits.

"The stay was amazing. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was great 👍
The only criticism i have was there food. Not the best. I order chicken wings for lunch/dinner time and it was not good at all the chicken was raw and undercooked i didnt even try to finish it and i still got very sick. Other than there food, everything else was great. "
"Stay was excellent. Hotel is historic and centrally located (many things are easily accessible by walking), and guest rooms are fully recently remodeled with updated, state-of-the-art technology. Grounds are kept in immaculate condition (with a Coi pond), and guest rooms are kept very clean. And Staff is readily available, courteous, and responsive. As an aside, Joe's Place, which is a short walk from the hotel, is an excellent choice for breakfast, and Taste, which is an even shorter walk, for lunch. Enjoyable stay. We will visit again. "
"This hotel is on a large property with a spacious courtyard. Our room had a small balcony which we enjoyed. Hearst Castle, Elephant Seals (and Otters!), the light house, and Moonstone beach are all short drives away. Parking is easy. We had an issue with the first room we were given, but the front desk quickly assigned us to another room. They ask to let them know if you are arriving late. The Big Sur restaurant next door makes a reliable breakfast with American and Mexican-American choices. San Simeon is a quiet place, especially when the 1 to Monterey is closed. However, it's easy to link a trip here with Paso Robles, Cambria, or Cayucos. "
