"The room was dated but clean. it was good value and a comfortable stay. No negatives except the age of the property - it’s dated and tired but it suited our needs fir a cheap & cheerful one night stay."

"After check in a was shown to my room. Outside my room was a pile of dirty bedsheets. Inside my room there was litter down both sides of the bed. The bed sheets didn’t cover the mattress , and there were hairs on the bed. The place was extremely run down and didn’t feel safe. I went straight down and told them the issues and that I would check out and find somewhere else to stay. Hotel.com tried to get me a refund but the hotel refused. My only advice is to avoid and stay somewhere else. "

"We have stayed at this Hotel a few times over the last couple of years, staff are always friendly and efficient. I usually ask for a room on an upper floor which have always been quiet, unfortunately we were given a room on the first floor close to the main road, but there was a constant noise in the room (a loud humming) which went on all night, making it difficult for us both to sleep! We were also told at check in that their parking charges have gone up, we were still charged £10 as we'd booked earlier, but not sure I'd stay again depending on how much it has increased by, as really parking for Hotel customers should be free in my opinion!"

"Very good for us as we were attending a convention nearby. Happy to give a 4/5, would have been perfect if the bathroom railing wasn't broken off already, and the TV had almost no options for us, as we would need access to a Netflix or whatever account you need for it. Live TV was non existent, believe me, we tried! There were a couple of free channels to watch, but mostly true crime stuff or judge Judy, or the cheesy older films. We found a few options thankfully, but it wasn't the end of the world. :) Had a bit of everything else other than that, fridge, microwave, utensils, etc so you can cook, and storage under the beds for luggage was a plus. Staff were helpful with my queries over the phone as well. Definitely will try this place again if we're in the area. Thanks again for all your help!"

"Breakfast was really good, great selection and tasted fresh, eggs cooked to order. Nice environment. There was two small issues, I have mobility issues and it takes me longer to get to the door, at 9am Saturday morning the housekeeper knocked then walked into the room. And the other small issue was the lift, we were in the first floor and the lift was faulty and only worked if you were calling it from the ground floor. Luckily my husband is agile and could go downstairs and call the lift up for me. Food at the bar was also very nice and the staff are friendly and welcoming "
