โOur room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing weโve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. โOn our arrival the hotel receptionist couldn't do enough to try and help us get a taxi but unfortunately wasn't able to, however I would like to thank her for kindness and concern.โ
โWe booked to stay for 2 nights to attend a wedding. The chalet was clean and had everything we needed. We needed to arrive quite late and this was accomodated really well. The only downside was that the chalet was really warm, but we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if we revisit the area.โ

โThis was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops.
The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent.
Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy)
All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the areaโ
โThe staff were very polite nd friendly. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. There was a kettle with loads of tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied. There was a shower in the bathroom . With very large towels which smelled lovely . Lots of shampoo, shower gel snd body lotion supplied. I will definitely be going back โ
