โThe staff were very friendly, especially showing us where to park on a busy evening. Room was very clean comfortable and modern. Breakfast was delicious and the waitresses were very helpful and friendly.โ
โI have stayed at the Bear on several occasions and I always enjoy my visits. It's a wonderful place to relax, with comfortable rooms, good food and friendly and helpful staff. โ
โReally lovely and clean room with free water, coffee and biscuits.
The bathroom had shower gel and shampoo for us to use.
Really lovely location and quick and easy entry and check out.
Would definitely stay again.โ
โEasy to access, parking can be a problem but you will always get in the Castle car park but involved a longer walk, best to drop your stuff off at the barrier outside the digs & then park up.
Overall great accommodation would definitely stay againโ
โI was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). โ
โGreat stay. Perfect to access the Brecons. Everything we needed in the studio. Very comfortable, clean, quiet with all facilities needed for our stay. โ
โBooked it same day, the room was on the 4th floor and as it was during the heatwave, was a bit warm, they did provide us with couple of fans that helped. It was a lovely room with a sofa, TV and vanity table. A nice view of trees and sunset. It was clean everywhere. โ
โBased on the fact that this is a budget hotel, the staff are amazing - endlessly helpful and patient with guests. We arrived when all the systems had gone down and the poor reception lady was being pulled in every which way - but she was still so polite, smiling and helpful. โ
