I really enjoyed my Ryukan traditional Japanese room with a large amount of great amenities and I want to come to this place every time I come to Japan though I must let you know if youโre staying in Tokyo it takes about almost 3 hours outside of Tokyo, which you can catch the trains to get to. โValuable ryokan which payable such expensive cost. Nice both private and public outdoor onsen. Dining in the absolutely private room which shown snowy valley with falling snow through wide window. Warm hospitality.. many nice ski resorts nearby.. nice dining food but little less satisfying compare with other ryokan on same level.โ
โGreat place to stay if your looking for a spot near several ski resorts. Sundar was hospitable and helpful towards myself and my foreigner crew.

โWe enjoyed our stay at Hotel Shiga Sunvalley. Loved the style of the Japanese rooms, it was very clean and the staff were exceptional!
Usui and staff helped up with any questions we had, ski rentals, keeping luggage after check out, shuttle bus information. Would stay with them again 10/10โ
โLocation is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10amโ

โLovely accomdation. It is a bit dated but charming and clean. Has everything we needed. Perfect for accessing the mountain. Meals were excellent. Onsen was good and open 24/7. Staff is friendly. โ
