“We spent a delightful six nights at Victoria House. The owner, Jan, was a gracious and very helpful host. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. No breakfast was served, but there are many excellent breakfast spots within a five minute walk. And the room came with ground coffee and a French press coffee maker, plus excellent snacks. The location within the old city walls and adjacent to the sea is perfect. ”

“Had top floor so takes effort with cases room ok but not as big as king size bed takes up most of the space. Breakfast ok tho with great choices.”

“I rated all the things I liked.....only one small issue....a slightly off putting shower...it was one with a fitting to each tap..hot/cold over a bath....but due to a panel being fixed half way along the bath you had to be under it to gauge the water temparature.... needless to say I gave it a miss..... they need to install an electric shower maybe?”

“Booked a 3 day stay at Afon Gwyn and there was no negatives, all positives from the moment we arrived. Hosts Gareth and Rana were most welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean the bed comfortable and the shower excellent and easy to use. Well Situated within easy reach of most places you would want to visit including mount Snowdon. Excellent hearty breakfast that will set you up for the day cooked by Rana and brought to your table by Gareth with his excellent dry sense of...

“This is a lovely hotel that has been converted from opd miner's cottages into modern rooms. The rooms are comfortable and clean although a little on the small side if you have a lot of luggage. It is conveniently located just a short walk from the town and the bus stop outside is handy for the sherpa bus. Unfortunately the lake view is now almost obscured by trees across the road. Amy was very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay and is always available. I would definitely recommend this...

“Steve and Jeanette were the perfect hosts, even loaning me walking sticks to climb Ir Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon). I was there as a solo traveler and appreciated the very safe and welcoming environment. Everything was perfect: spotless, comfortable room, great shower, delicious Welsh breakfast, easy walk to town, available books and maps, teapot and biscuits in the room, and great WIFI. Heartily recommend!!”
