“We had a great view of the ocean and pretty basic room. Hotel is tired looking. We somehow accidentally booked the room twice and they didnt cancel the extra booking. Said they would refund one night of it but didnt. The tv had a parental control set up so we couldnt watch all the channels but owner didnt know why or how to fix it. Laundry worked well, need quarters though. Refrigerator and microwave in the room was convenient. It was off season and not very full. Not fancy, but not...

“This place is great...very clean Hot tub could be bigger and walls thicker for noise purposes but would stay again. Kitchens are very convenient as eating out is costly there.”

“The property is pretty nice. They’ve tried to upgrade it, but it’s an older building. The management was fantastic and let us check in early and even opened the pool and hot tub early. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is the floors, especially under the beds, were dirty. ”

“We have been to Ocean Shores many times over the last 22 years. In the past we have stayed at other hotels that are very close by. This was our first stay at the Grey Gull due to others were full. Turns out this one was way more reasonably priced then the others and it was on a clam dig weekend. The room was nice and even had a separate bedroom which I did not notice when I booked it. This will be where we stay in future visits to Ocean Shores. Thank you, Don”

“I’ve had great experience here before. I did however found the room I got this time to be not as clean and squared away as well as it was before - eg the bed was made a bit messy and I found what I believe was blood on the bathroom floor. I also did have soon be trouble with my door not shutting and locking properly but they took care of it the best way they can relatively fast, which I’m very grateful for. I believe this is a local family run business and do like them a lot. Great place to stay...

“Often in Ocean Shores, over the years I have found winter visits can be hit and miss with pool availability. They not only had the pool open and available but keep it open later than other hotels in the town.”

“Bed is super uncomfortable but staff gave me extra blankets so that I could sleep in the floor . Rooms were clean , coffee pot . Cool little game room , pools and clean . ”

“We had a pet friendly room. The floor was not particularly clean, but that is expected being a room with pets. The bathtub was pretty old, and the base was starting to peel. We found a few ants calling on the dresser and a few on our bed. The staff was great unfortunately the pool was closed and the vending machines had expired drinks and snacks.
