“The room had no view and the back side facing rooms were not worth the cost”

“Great location overlooking Oban bay. Room was a bit tired, but comfortable and clean. Quick check-in and friendly staff. If you are travelling by car, worth looking at the car park just 100 metres to right of hotel.”

“The hotel is situated up the hill away from the main high street. On the day we arrived, the restaurant was closed due to lack of guests whilst restaurants in the high street were very busy which didn't instill much confidence on us dining in their bar instead. The hotel decor was dated and the lift was very slow. The button panel inside the lift was loose, again didn't make me feel safe using the lift. The room was clean, acceptable but not exceptional. There is tea and coffee making facility...

“Double room was compact, amenities in room were fine. Window sash rattled all night and too hot to close. Breakfast was fine, sausage links would be an alternative to lorne sausage. Great position in town and that was main reason for booking.”

“Friendly and helpful staff, along with a decent dinner menu in the bar were the highlights. Skimpy breakfast with awful coffee. Room was dated. Pancake pillows. Cramped shower. Walls are thin and could hear neighbors’ phone alarms and opening/closing room doors all morning. Unable to sleep after 5am. Dinner in the restaurant was fully booked by a large group when checking in. Would not stay here again.”
