“We picked this place at random online, coming in from a 10 day cruise to Southampton. Booking online sight unseen is always a gamble, but this time we hit the jackpot. Totally charming English countryside inn, fantastic food, stunning rooms, very comfy pub, and amazing staff. I'd be remiss if I didn't single out Kate and Tahir, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I can't recommend this place highly enough!”

“Visited on Monday 15 June. No staff to check in, just a door bell to security they then let you in to get your key from a key safe inside. No dinner or bar on Monday nights so went to the pub over the road. Double Room petite and bijou but adequate. Left before breakfast so did not speak to any staff during our stay!!!! On our previous visit we did have a very nice breakfast. Recommend it but don’t expect to be pampered, more like an Air B&B at least on a Monday or Tuesday.”

“Lovely room lots of character. The food is excellent and clearly very popular indeed the local area, definitely reserve a table. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They had a breakfast sandwich ready for me to leave early for work which was much appreciated. Will definitely stay again ”

“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. This is our second time staying and it definitely won’t be...

“Room was TINY. Smelt of toilets and woken by multiple church bells at 5 am. No staff at breakfast time. Cereal and toast. Wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the money.”
