InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"staff were very friendly and helpful"
The Chicago Hotel Collection - Magnificent Mile
8/10 Good
"The roof top was a nice change in our Chicago stay. However the staff was kind of rude and not very helpful. They didn’t notify me of the $150 deposit until check in, and when I asked when it would be returned they said it’s up to my bank. Days later my bank is still saying it’s a pending charge on the hotels end. A bit frustrating. The room was nice, not what was shown in the pictures and the city view for the suit was an alley. Don’t think I will be staying there again."

River Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at The River Hotel was wonderful! The hotel is in a prime Chicago location close to everything. The staff was amazing—very accommodating. The hotel has an historic feel and the rooms were nice with comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again!"
Hotel Saint Clair- Magnificent Mile
10/10 Excellent
"I enjoyed my stay here a lot. This is a no-frills kind of hotel that still feels pretty special given the location. If you are staying in Chicago, this makes a great "home base". The halls were kind of narrow and the elevators were small, limit 5 people (but really smooth given how old the building is!), so if you are very easily claustrophobic, you might have an issue."
Travelodge by Wyndham Downtown Chicago
8/10 Good
"The room was cleaned every day, the staff was really kind and very helpful and what to do and where to eat. The air-conditioning was magnificent, especially because it was super hot outside. It had a small kitchen, which was just a fridge and a sink as well as a coffee machine and microwave. The hotel had a very retro vibe inside. Nothing was super new new, but it was very clean so that wasn’t a big deal. The location was perfect to walk everywhere we went during lollapalooza, so it was really hard to get any car service during the night but as long as you’re OK walking to three blocks, you were fine. However, I will say that because of the whole event, it was harder to move around unlike the last time we were in Chicago. It was still a lot of fun and we’re still able to do a lot of things so that was great. The staff was super kind to recommend breakfast and coffee places. Also there’s a Dunkin’ Donuts around the corner that is of course always an awesome thing to have because it’s open 24 seven. So 10/10 for sure."
