“Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Yes it was budget and it was just for an overnight stop in a continuing journey but broken tiles, broken and damaged panels & threadbare curtains. No staff available in the morning to discuss. Just very Delapidated and way past worn out!!”

The good size double room had a kettle with coffee bags, fan, hairdryer, iron and ironing board plus large TV. The mattress was a bit too firm for our comfort though.”

“Overall, my experience was positive with a few minor drawbacks. My room was located in a separate building, just above the gym. There were no lifts, so this could be an issue for people with mobility issues. The room itself was on the smaller side but had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed and pillows were really comfy. However, one downside was the loud music coming from the gym. Even though my room was two floors above, the noise was noticeable and a bit disruptive at times...

“The hotel is an oasis of peace in a beautiful Surrey town. The staff were very helpful and the grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was excellent. However the room was not as luxurious as the photos had led us to expect. Also curry night needs to consider English tastes, the korma was so spicy I could not eat it, very disappointing. Overall I would recommend the hotel as the situation, grounds and staff were brilliant.”

“The room was lovely and bed supper comfy but then that would be expected as the room was expensive for what it was. Some biscuits with tea and coffee would have been nice. The toilet paper was very cheap quality which surprised me. Shower was fabulous and a good size. Tv was great quality and massive too. “My second visit in 2 months based on my first, very positive experience. Again I booked the dinner, bed and breakfast package for a similar value to a bed and breakfast stay elsewhere. I was given a room on the ground floor close to the dining area and rear entrance which suited me fine. Parking was easy and dinner was tremendous. I went for the same walk to Chawton. A great night's sleep was followed by a great breakfast and I left again very fulfilled with my accommodation experience.”

“Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. “Breakfast time was not very organised, perhaps this was because there was only one member of staff visible. The buffet was very poor. As guests we had to ask for hot food. There were no croissants or bread (which arrived frozen) and very little fresh fruit. Not what we expected for a 4 star hotel.”
