"Upon arrival to the hotel the front lot had several lights strobing which was very unpleasant and off putting. When we checked in I asked the attendant to make sure we were not in a room on the front side as we did not want to see the strobing. She laughed. Rude! Once in the room we noticed there was no coffee maker. No big deal as they offer coffee in the lobby. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and also no shampoo. They did however provide 2 bottles of conditioner. The shower handle was broken and very hard to turn the water on. The worst part of our stay was waking up to a LIVE cockroach on our bed! This is disgusting and unacceptable. We will not be staying here again! Thankfully we were only booked here for 1 night! "

"If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Checked into Uptown Suites and the first thing that happened was they gave me the wrong room key. After finally getting into the room, I was shocked at how filthy it was. The entire place looked like a trap house had been operating out of it. Dirty, run-down, and definitely not what was advertised. To make matters worse, there were roaches in the room. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and this was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The condition of the property and the lack of attention to basic cleanliness is unacceptable. I even made a video on my TikTok showing exactly what I walked into because honestly, people need to see it before spending their hard-earned money here. Would not recommend."

"I had an accessible room and the edge of the shower where it met the floor was either dirty or moldy. Under the rim of the toilet was not clean. One time when I came back to my room, there was a young man sitting on the floor between the two rooms before mine. He was on his phone which was plugged into the wall. I am no a prejudiced person but he said hello and I could tell he was middle eastern. Being a single senior traveler this was unsettling due to everything going on in our country. I went down to the lobby and told the desk clerk. She said she saw him (on the camera) and would go check but if he was staying there there is nothing she could do. I don’t agree. He could wait in the lobby if he didn’t have a room key. Same desk clerk was condescending when I asked about the TV schedule. There was a card in the drawer listing the available stations. They didn’t work. When I called the front desk, she said that was their old schedule and I should have been given a new one when I checked in. Just an attitude. And why keep the old one if it doesn’t work! Also, they only had two handicap parking spaces. I had to park in the main lot and step up a curb which is not ideal for me. Don’t think I will ever stay at that hotel again."
