Oahu Luxury Vacations

Room we stayed didn’t have USB charging plug ins, although the bathroom was updated but everything else in the room was not. Also had weird noise from upstairs, asked for maintenance to come by and then called back to cancel the maintenance since the noise stopped. They called at 11pm to ask if we still needed maintenance, we called when the noise stopped so why did they call? The lobby of the hotel is spacious, but there is no air flow at all, no fans going. We ate dinner one night at the lobby restaurant, no flavor, no flair or any kind in the food. It did not taste good at all, usually tourists eat at the hotel more for convenience, but in my travels I have had lots of good food experiences at the hotels I have stayed at. Cant say I recommend this hotel’s food… Over all I give this hotel 3 out of 5, it definitely has room for improvement. The rooms definitely need at least upgrade for usb charging plugs, we are in 2026!!!

This is of course nice for the price you’re paying I don’t think it’s worth it. One of the main reasons I booked hotel was for the pool and there was about 10 kids in the pool splashing and screaming the entire time. One day there were even moms with babies in slings in the hot tub, soaking their feet while their toddlers splashed in the hot tub. The vibe was off and weird, and I even asked one of the attendants if they could ask the parents to control their kids and they did not help. The gym is nice, but overall the pool is the crown jewel and if it’s like my experience at all you should book somewhere else. Also I had a “partial ocean view” and it was definitely “partial” … and the room was clean but did not look like I was in a luxury hotel… it was kinda small and basic. Way too many people too… it was not a great stay.

The room was gorgeous! Bravo for the elevated and tasteful decor. The exterior does need a little facelift here and there as it is an older hotel, but there is a "classic," old Hawaii charm about it. Bell Attendant was a bit pushy when we did not let him take our bags before check in - asking repeatedly - when guaranteed check in was only 30min out. Other than that, the staff at the Veranda was so nice and cheerful and dinner at Arancino was amazing. This is a great option to stay outside of Waikiki.
