"We booked a last minute trip to NY for our family of four and we were relieved to find a reasonable rate for a room with 2 double beds. The hotel is well located (an easy 5-10 min. walk to several different subway lines). We loved that we had easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, and downtown attractions. As other reviews have mentioned, we encountered issues with our A/C. The first night we stayed, the A/C compressor was obviously not working. The room never dropped below 75 degrees and it was quite humid. We called the front desk the next morning and the issue was quickly addressed by the maintenance team. A new A/C unit was swapped into our room and we didn't have any issues for the remaining 3 nights. This is a no frills hotel - no pool and small rooms, but by NYC standards, it was very nice and priced accordingly. We appreciated the cleanliness and attentive staff. We would not hesitate to stay here again."
