“I think this was the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a lot world wide . Great welcome, room spacious and clean. A nice area to sit in in the evening, food was available and lots of people were eating, we just had a glass of wine . Breakfast was really good, great selection, fresh and good variety . Our room was up 2 flights of stairs, which I wasn't aware of when I booked. Therefore, in this heatwave, the room was an oven. There was a desk fan - 'thank goodness'. “Highly recommended. Faultless. The staff deserve a special mention as they are excellent in all respects. An example is Carol who warmly greets you at breakfast and is a joy. Both breakfast and dinner were very good and the bar and terrace area is spacious with fantastic west facing views. The hotel is spectacularly located high up above the Wye Valley with a wide panorama. Many of the bedrooms benefit from these wonderful views. A great place to stay for exploring this beautiful area.”

“Breakfast was extortionate and dire. Not worth the money. It is outsourced and nothing to do with the hotel. The rooms are not cleaned everyday nor are the towels changed. Nobody comes to check for housekeeping. The room was like a sauna. Extremely hot rooms, creaky floors, dirty carpet and windows. Windows don't open. Bathroom water pressure is just awful. There is no fridge or airconditioning in the room. I didn't use the leisure facilities. Aircon is only around the reception area. The hotel...

The staff were friendly and the room had some positives, including clean linen, a good-sized TV and convenient parking, but unfortunately the overall experience was very poor.
