"I almost never write hotel reviews. Typically, the hotels are less than expected. This was exactly the opposite--a stay that exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was spacious, with beds and linens of good quality. We had a fabulous dinner at the Publick House restaurant, and then pastries for breakfast at the bake shop the following morning. The coffee machine in our wing of the hotel produced excellent lattes. Every staff interaction was pleasant. Walking around the neighborhood, especially the historic cemetery next door, was enjoyable. And, apparently due to the fact that we were passing through Sturbridge on a low-travel day, the room was cheap. Overall, it was a great experience and an amazingly good value. We would stay there again in a heartbeat, and might even plan future travels to dine there even if just passing through."
