"First time visiting for a weekend stay, the resort exceeded our expectations. It was literally a home away from home and the city had soooooooo much to do. Our only regret was not staying longer, we will be back over and over until we’ve explored it all, and this will be our home while visiting."
"Close to island for walkable shopping , places to eat and shows . Rooms facing the back to the island would be better than the front rooms with balcony’s facing noisy traffic . Complimentary breakfast was good. Enjoyed the visit and will come back."
"I was assigned room 404. Horrible room, dirty, worn interior, stained ceiling tiles., fan in bathroom hanging down by wires, room light blinking and not working. Room / building smelled of stale marijuana smoke. We had driven 6.5 hours to get there from Kentucky. We changed the bed linens with some from home as we always do, and tried to make it happen. We checked in at 9:03 PM, ran to the Outback Steak House for some dinner, came back and tried to go to sleep. Something bit me on the face and I said, "That's it, we are leaving." I gathered all our stuff up, loaded in the car and checked out at 12:08 AM. This hotel has old, dirty photocopied signs hanging up in the lobby stating' "Pardon our mess while we remodel." This seems to have been one of the rooms needing remodeling since 1992, it was horrible. If I could give this nasty, horrible place a negative 5 stars, I would do it.
Stay away. you are wasting your time. This place is horrible, life sucking, hotel straight from The Shinning."
The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Gatlinburg
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was quite nice view of the mountain's the saff was very pleasant and offering help to load up. Your belongings. Only disadvantage is. they don't have lighting in the ceiling. They only have 2 floor lamps and 1 table lamp. Where the vanity is they have led lighting around the mirror. And it's super bright. To me it a overkill. The don't have a room microwave. They have shared microwave and need to be clean. The icemaker is out of order."
"For the money, this place was exceptional. Decor in the lobby was warm and inviting. The room decor was tasteful and felt more plush than a typical chain hotel at the same price point. The highlight, of course, was the pool complex: the outdoor lazy river was super warm, which I loved. My children liked the outdoor slide and big pool. We all enjoyed the heated (comfortable enough but not warm) indoor pool and the hot tub.
Breakfast was adequate (the cinnamon rolls were a hit!). The selection was the same from day to day: eggs, sausage patties, gravy, biscuits, oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, and make-your-own waffles.
Convenient vending and ice machines on each floor. Fabulous towels. Comfortable beds and pillows. Nice little balcony with two plastic chairs. Basic cable. Decent toiletries but no lotion with 2-in-1 shampoo-conditioner."
"My husband and I had a wonderful time. I got the room with a jacuzzi in it. It was nice after a long day. Everything was great BUT breakfast was awful. Plan to go out for breakfast. There’s a Crackel Barrel in walking distance."
"Absolutely love going here. The staff always smiles, greet you rather it's the counter or hallway. The rooms were clean. Love the amenities from the arcade to the restaurants. Perfectly located near everything."
