โThe owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area.โ
โSuper friendly staff who were easy to converse with, the inn was well maintained with vintage roots and a splash off modern. The food was excellent. On the listing it does say they have laundry facilities, but after asking it turns out they donโt. So be aware if that is a need. I would surely go back again if I am in the area!โ
โMike was the best host. Very welcoming and called a taxi for me to get to my next destination. One of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in. Would definitely recommendโ
โWhat a beautiful place to stay. An amazing amount of thought has gone into all elements of the Manor House and surrounding accommodation. We stayed in a hop pickers hut (number 4 was great as end of the row and cleaning cupboard next to us so no noise from neighbours) which had a large and comfortable bed and was thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed exploring the kitchen garden and our evening meal was delicious (waiters were very knowledgeable about the food and wine list) Breakfast also superb...
โStayed here for 2 nights in July, was not sure what to expect but the staff were an absolute delight! The rooms were spotless and the amenities were well thought out (we had a fan already provided due to the heat!)
We ate in the attached restaurant - was really tasty.
Whilst they didn't have one of the breakfast options (no avocado either morning despite having a huge morrisons down the road!) the breakfast was tasty and well cooked.
Would definitely recommend if you are staying on the Isle...
โThis is our second time here and again we loved the whole experience. Service is great, staff are friendly and itโs a lovely setting to relax. We made use of the outdoor pool facilities as the weather was lovely and then chilled out in the indoor pool area. All the food we had was lovely, and our room was beautiful and clean. โ
โHotel was in the last few days of ownership before handover to new owners. Old owners were pleasant enough, but I felt we got the minimum acceptable service.
We had stayed twice before, but it made no difference. Minimum acceptable service means Average Star Marking.โ
