"I had a wonderful stay at The Peninsula Manila. The hotel itself is grand and truly spectacular, with an elegant atmosphere that makes you feel special from the moment you arrive. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly attentive, and my concierge was always at my beck and call. No request was too small or too much—whether it was arranging for an iron and ironing board to be set up promptly or organizing additional bathroom amenities, everything was handled efficiently and with a smile. "I’ll start off in saying the staff was great and they attend to all your needs. When we arrived and walked into the building, it looked very nice and classy as you would expect. But you are greeted with a very strong smell of a cleaning chemical that does not smell pleasant. I am very sensitive to air quality and it was a little difficult to take a deep breath on the ground floor with this smell. My advice would be to change cleaning fluid to a more pleasant smell. When we arrived in the room, there was a strong musty smell. Again, it was difficult to take a deep breath. The hotel promptly changed our room when we complained. The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the breakfast buffet. A few years ago we stayed here and the breakfast buffet was spectacular. Things have changed drastically. The food was extremely sub par and It was hard to find anything we liked. The breakfast buffet was one of the reasons we chose to stay here. The quality has suffered and it really is a shame. "

"I'd like to start by saying the staff is great. They are very friendly and welcoming. They are quite knowledgeable about the hotel services. The room I stayed in was comfortable. The bed was quite soft and there were 2 bathrooms: 1 toilet & sink, the other shower, tub, & sink. The AC is quite cold as well as the pool water. The bar service at the pool was great. The room size is perfect for two people. The location is great if you like to go out for drinks or coffee. I was quite annoyed by housekeeping. While the service was great & I know they worked har, I had a do not disturb sign on my door and housekeeping called me more times than days I stayed in the hotel to tell me, remind me, advise me that housekeeping services end at 5pm. At 1pm, I don't need a reminder as I also received the same notice under my door. The room showed some signs of wear that was hidden behind the bathroom blinds. The room only comes with 2 large towels. I asked for 2 smaller towels for hand drying and face washing. They were never replaced. I like to try different hotels when I stay in Manila. I won't return to I'm Hotel. The hotel that shares the building is great though. "
