"Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised
We recently stayed at the Econo Lodge Pigeon Forge Riverside, and unfortunately, the experience did not match what was presented online.
First off, the appearance of the property was very misleading. We were not aware that the building was under construction, and this significantly impacted the overall experience. The rooms were much smaller than they appeared in the photos, and the entire property felt unkempt.
The parking lot was especially concerning. There was visible trash from the remodel scattered throughout, along with geese droppings all over the area. On top of that, we witnessed people stealing TVs from trailers and taking construction materials, which made the environment feel unsafe and poorly managed.
Many of the vending machines were either out of order or dispensed the wrong drinks, and the ice machine barely worked. These may seem like small things, but they added up quickly.
The breakfast was very limited. We tried it on the first day but decided it wasn’t worth going back.
Another major issue was noise. The pool is open until 11 PM, and since our room was right next to it, there was constant noise late into the night, making it difficult to relax or sleep.
To top it off, during checkout, the staff didn’t ask how our stay was or show any interest in our experience, which left a poor final impression.
Overall, this was a very unpleasant stay, and we would not choose to stay here again.
