"I stayed at Cleopatra Adult only resort for five nights . Room: My room on arrival was dirty and had mould all over the bathroom. It looked unwashed and unkept. I was disgusted. The toilet was also unwashed and had dirt black stain inside the WC. I had to use the restaurant toilet. I requested for a room change. I was taken to a room on the 6th block which smelled like a pit latrine. The next day I was given another room which still had mould but was not as much as the other. The bathroom walls had blacks stains and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The room it self was okay, a good sized double bed and enough wardrobe space. Food : The food was a 7/10. The only drawback was we had only three fruit options for six days which was quite upsetting. Activities: The hotel is very boring. They barely had any activities planned throughout my stay. There was only a foam pool party on Valentine’s Day and that was it. The open space for night games wasn’t used once till I left. Drinks: The fruit juice was crap. Highly diluted with water….. water was better than that. Alcohol wasn’t original, as they didn’t taste as they should. Staff: Most were quite respectful but some were very defensive when asked questions while others kept asking “ when are you leaving?” which I found quite ridiculous. Overall, I believe this hotel should pass as a 3star hotel at most as it doesn’t meet the standards of a five star hotel in my books. The hotel needs serious renovation."

"The resort was beautiful and well kept with lovely landscaping and modern buildings. The food was delicious in the main restaurant, so much do that we didn’t bother eating anywhere else. There was plenty of variety and they made it a point to change things up every night so it stayed interesting and appealing. The pools and amenities were wonderful and the start was excellent. We had a blast and would definitely stay here again! "

"The service was great. The people were nice despite language challenges. It’s insane how they work round the clock with a smile. The bathrooms could have been more updated, with occasional challenges for hot showers. Food was good, and weather was amazing. Kids loved the aqua park which was our main reason for choosing this resort. "

Then comes the reception staff: a miserable man who slags off guests in Arabic, confidently assuming no white person understands him. Bad luck mate — we understood every word. Rooms: Biohazard Zones The rooms should come with a health warning. • Urine-stained bed linen — repeatedly. • Floors that look like they’ve never met a broom. • A bathtub decorated with cigarette ends and burn marks, as if someone had hosted a bonfire in it. • A sewage smell from the bathroom strong enough to qualify as a chemical attack. We were moved… straight into another disaster. Dust thick enough to write “clean me” — which stayed there for five days. Bed linen so revolting we slept on our own towels like refugees escaping the plague. Their excuse? “The cleaner doesn’t understand English.” You don’t need English to understand soap, water, or basic hygiene.
